BIOGRAPHY

The young and upcoming soprano Caroline Wettergreen studied at The Norwegian Academy of Music, Norway and the Opera Academy in Copenhagen, Denmark. Already as a freshman, she made her debut at The Norwegian Opera&Ballet, as Adelaide in «Lulu», directed by Stefan Herheim.

By spring 2015 she made her concert debut in Berliner Philharmonie with Berliner Symphoniker, and in 2016 she made her international debut at Komische Oper, as La Fee in «Cendrillon», hosting great reviews. Caroline is a much sought after concert singer, having done concerts with Bayerische Staatsorchester, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and at Bergen International Festival.

Caroline has since then been a staple at European opera houses, having debuted Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne Festival, aswell as Glyndebourne on Tour, Bayerische Staatsoper, Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Opera de Paris, Wiener Staatsoper, The Norwegian Opera&Ballet, including her North American debut at Canadian Opera Company. The upcoming seasons include returns to all of the houses.

She is the recipient of Equinor Classical Music Award 2018.
